Step into the NHS – competitions

COMPETITIONS OPEN TO STUDENTS

You could win a host of great prizes for your school – as well as a tablet or £50 Amazon voucher for yourself – by entering the Step into the NHS annual national schools competition.

Over 1 million people work in the NHS, making it the largest single employer in the UK and one of the largest employers in the world.

With more than 350 job roles, working in the NHS can mean a lot more than being a doctor or nurse – roles traditionally associated with the NHS. The NHS needs a whole team of staff, and the ambulance service recruits a broad range of roles from paramedics and emergency care assistants, to support staff such as those working in human resources and finance.

Will Hancock, Chief Executive of SCAS, said:

“I want to see enthusiastic, talented and caring young people across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire consider joining their local ambulance trust or becoming part of the NHS – whether that is in a clinical or non-clinical role. Entering this competition is a great way for teachers and young people in schools to find out more about the fantastic careers there are available in the NHS today.”
